About Us

LinkBeam Internet was founded in 2006 and is locally owned and operated.

It was started by a local rural landowner with a long time technical background who had grown frustrated with the lack of modern internet access in our area. He recognized that phone companies and large internet providers would never make the necessary infrastructure investment in low population density rural areas like ours. Reading about the success of other rural wireless networks, he invested in setting up the infrastructure and launched this service.
